Saturday-Saturday...

It's the last Saturday of the month and I am ready to move forward... how about you? All the new release Clear Dollar Stamps sets will be in the store tomorrow and here's the last of my creations for the sneaky peeks. You can view the full stamps sheets over on Clearly iStamp.

Mouse Dreams, November 2009 SOM, is the first one. That mouse is so cute! You can color him or do him up with paper piecing. So many different options. :-) I did a combination of both coloring and paper piecing for my sample. Not only that I also did a little paper toile on just the mouse. Very fun!

The next sample I made was with the single stamp called "Blessed Christmas". This wonderful little gem is an awesome addition to my Christmas stamps. I simply love the sentiment.

Please stop by and visit all the other Clear Dollar Stamp designers for more previews and lots of inspiration. Their links are listed in my sidebar.

Have a wonderful and safe day!

Sincerely,

Onto to Day Three!

**EDITED POST: I just noticed that I forgot to include the inside view of the penguin card. So here it is! ;-)**

And the previews continue on with Clear Dollar Stamps! It's so fun to finally be able to share the cards that I've made earlier in the month just for preview time. It's like being able to blab a secret that you've been holding onto for a long time. What a sweet relief. Today I am giving you a glimpse of "Welcome to Parenthood" and "Just Chillin' ". To see the full stamp sheet please hop on over to Clearly iStamp.

"Just Chillin' " can be mostly used for the holidays whereas "Welcome to Parenthood" is more of a set you can use anytime. I am so in love with that little penguin. He's so cute and reminds me of my grown-up son. For some of the fine details I used stickles to make the icicles and Flower Soft to fluff out his hat. I also use the stickles to glitter up the DP by filling in the bigger white diamonds by doing this it really pulls the card together.

With the "Welcome to Parenthood" card I used the glitter stained glass technique as shared by Amy R of Prairie Paper & Ink. Here's a link to her tutorial: Glitter Stained Glass Technique. It really wasn't that hard to do. What was difficult was waiting for it to dry. Next time I think I'll make a handful of the butterflies or other images so that I can have them on hand as needed.

That's it for today. Please be sure to visit my fellow designers for more glimpses of what's to come. Their links are in my sidebar to the right.

Have a wonderfully blessed day!

Another Day of Previews...

Yeppers, that's right. It's the second day of Clear Dollar Stamps sneak peeks! You can see all five of the preview sets for today over on the main CDS blog, Clearly iStamp, but as for my samples I have only one to share today. Philippians 4:6-8. It is a single sentiment stamp of bible verses and it's perfect. I certainly enjoy this kind of encouragement daily.

I hope your day is going splendidly. I've been on my feet all morning preparing our lunch of chicken noodle soup with homemade egg noodles. I hadn't made the noodles in years and thankfully they turned out better than before. I rolled them pretty thin and they cooked up nicely. They were filling and tasty. I would definitely categorize this meal as comfort food. Now that lunch is past and the dishes are done I am finally able to sit down at the computer. I am typing quietly as Ellie has just gone down for a nap. :-) It's so nice to have my "me" time. Anyhow, I have to get going... lots to do while the little one is sleeping.

Have a wonderfully blessed day and stop by the rest of Clear Dollar Design Team's blogs for more sneak previews. (Their links are to the right in my sidebar under CDS Design Team Members.)

Smiles,

What's Coming Next?

There are new designs coming out November first for Clear Dollar Stamps. Wanna sneak a couple of peeks? If you don't want to see what's coming up until later please close your eyes now. Otherwise, here you go!

The first one is designed with the new November Stamp of the Month called "Holiday Patterns". This set has eight holiday images without any sentiments. It's mostly a solid set with wonderful patterns infused throughout each image. I love this fresh look. I can see myself making all different kinds of creations with this small wonder.

The second card I am sharing was made with "Railroad Memories". This set is a mix of solid silhouettes and open line art with four sentiments. If you are into vintage this set is for you. I am a big fan of this style and I was really glad that it wound up as one of my assignments. If you look at the fine details you'll notice that I used the shattered glass technique on the main image and used the solid stamps with one sentiment to make my own background paper.

Wanna see more sneak previews? Be sure to checkout all the rest of the team's fabulous creations. All their links are located to the right in my sidebar but for the complete list of previews and full stamp sheets go to Clearly iStamp.

Smiles,

End of the Month...

How fast time has blown by this month. It's already so close to November and I feel the longing for Thanksgiving to be upon us again. :-) We are no longer running the fans to cool the air but instead have to light our fire to keep our home cozy. I've cooked our meals twice this week in our wood burning stove and have found the experimenting very delicious. Yummy! Never in my life did I think that I would experience such a task. Just goes to show you that you never know where the Lord will take you. From the arctic to a cabin. Who would of thought?

Anyhow, I have a little something to share today that I made with Clear Dollar Stamps' new release collection called "Winged Whispers". This set is simply gorgeous with endless coloring possibilities. Here I embossed the hummingbird image with fine black EP and then watercolored it with markers. To make it shimmer I used Jewels Watercolor Palette. LOVE that stuff!

That's it for now... lots to do and so little. Have a wonderful evening and thank you so much for visiting me!

Hello...

I have such a headache this morning but I'm not gonna let that stop me from getting things done today. I am thinking that I'm finally gonna go through my side of the closet and downside my stuff. It amazes me how much I have and how much I don't use. Besides getting the closet done I need to continue on with my craft show goodies. Yep, I am going to have a table at an in-home craft show this year. I am hoping to earn some money to be able to go to a big crafting event next year. Craft shows really make me nervous because you just never know what will sell and what won't. For now I have some really cute mini albums done and giftcard holders. I will probably add a small selection of my cards too but what is really cool is that I can also sell my new crafting supplies that I haven't used. I have quite a bit of unused stamps and a handful of crafty tools that I snatched up during my TAC days to add to my table. Between the supplies and the craft items, Lord willing, I hope things will sell well. :-)

I do have a fun stamped card to share with you today. The images are from Clear Dollar Stamps new releases this month. This set is from the collection of Dreamtime Designs by Kim Teasdale and is called "Dog Days". From the first glance I just knew that I had to have it. The combination of cute doggies and fun sentiments make this set a must have.

I better end for now... Have a wonderful day!

Monday-Monday...

It was a very cloudy overcast day here at the cabin... so here's something bright and cheery to view. If you could see this card in person you would see that the colors make her pop off the page. Now that I look at her I can see that she is wearing Barrow High School's colors. LOVE IT! :-)

I hope your day had more sunshine in it than mine. Thanks for stopping by. Before I go... this card was made with Clear Dollar Stamps new release stamp set called "Howdy Partner". Wanna see more of this month's new stamps? Here's the link: CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS.

More CHRISTmas Scriptures

With Fall in the air these days it's far easier for me to see that Christmas is coming. The holiday season will be here before we know it and come this Thanksgiving it will be a year since we were last home in Barrow. CRAZY! I sure do miss Alaska but for now I am content to just be... be where the Lord wants me. We'll have to wait and see where we are by the new year. I wonder if things will change much or will we still be on the mountain at the cabin. ???

Anyhow, here's a card that I did with Clear Dollar Stamps new release set called "Christmas Scriptures". I love this stamp set because the fonts are fun and it uses verses from the Bible to remind us what CHRISTmas should really be about.

I hope you are having a wonderfully blessed day. Today I am at my Mom's and will be going out to visit my Grandma. Later on I will be making dinner for my parents and then hopefully having a very relaxing evening with my family.

Projects and more projects!

It sure has been nice here the last few days. The sun is shining but it's no too hot. My favorite indeed. What a blessing!

On a different note, I am so glad that I am way up in the hills these days. My house has been turned over with the mad dash to get projects done. I am getting ready for a craft show mid-November as I am hoping to make some good money to for a nice crafty trip in 2010. My daughter loves it when I have all my stuff within grasp but after this post I am thinking that I better get things picked up. I just can't take the chaos anymore.

Anyhow, here's a creation I made with Clear Dollar Stamp's current stamp of the month called "Harvest Hello" and it is free with a minimum order of $50. I just love the design. :-)

Thank you for stopping by today!

The SUN is out!!!

I can get online again! Yeah!!! The sun is finally charging our batteries and we are up and running again! :-) What a good feeling not to have to conserve to do extra stuff like watch a movie or get onto the internet. Another BIG SMILE!

Anyhow, here's the last two cards I did with Mary's sketch challenge over the weekend. I used mostly the same stuff but instead I changed it up with the cuttlebug folders. Unfortunately the crystal lacquer didn't dry clear. It's a really old bottle or I simply put too much???

I hope you are having a sunshiny day too.

BLOG CANDY ALERT!

Hey there! Just a quick note. This past weekend we have had no direct sunlight because there has been too much cloud cover. This means that our solar panels/battery bank is not getting fully charged. We will be on a limited supply of power this week which in turn means I can't be on the internet as much. I'll miss you all my dear friends!

Don't worry, I'll post my second challenge card for the Moe Joe Designs Challenge later on. :-)

Well since I am here guess what? Irina, La-La Land Crafts, is offering up some goodies today! Stop by her blog for all the details.

Moe Joe Designs Challenge #2

World Cardmaking Day! Hooray! I know there are many events going on today but as for me I am snug as bug in our cabin enjoying a lazy day. Ellie has brought out all her toys at least twice as I played at my stamp table. It looks like a hurricane has come through... I like to call it "Hurricane Ellie". In any case as soon as I am done with this post I'll be spending the next hour tidying up.

I've made as set of four cards with Mary Duffek's Challenge #2/Sketch #1. I have only two to post though because the other two are still drying. Once they are dry I'll be sure to share them too. :-) If you have a chance hop on over and checkout Mary's blog and challenges. Her art is tops and very fun. Not only that she's a very sweet blogging friend. Her blog is Moe Joe Designs.

It's been a lazy but productive day. I hope you've had fun and was able to make a card or two for World Cardmaking Day.

Smiles,

October

So crazy that it's October already. :-) Guess what? I actually have something to share with you today that isn't a sneak peek. Ha! Last week I managed to squeeze in these quick cards. The card base itself is a blank notecard from Michael's clearance bin. They were so bright and cheery and for 48 cents a pack I just couldn't resist. At first I was gonna make a set of cards with them to sell but then I realized that I have a ton of thank you and hello cards to send out myself and then kept them. I spent about thirty minutes on them total from the design to assembly. Not bad haw? The Pink Persimmon's "Flower Greetings" set went perfectly for these quick cards.

I hope you had a wonderfully fun day.

Smiles,
