Hello

Boy, has it been busy-busy. I've been playing single mommy as my husband has been away. Today he'll be doing our grocery shopping in Anchorage today and will be home tomorrow. Whenever we have the opportunity to travel we both try to wrap-up the trip by scheduling a layover in Anchorage for shopping. It's such a blessing to be able to stock-up on food and supplies. This has lead to us not owning luggage anymore. Instead we have a ton of Rubbermaid totes in assorted colors and sizes. That's what it is like to live in the bush. Anyhow, I am so looking forward to Andrew's return. Not for the goodies, but for his companionship and time. What can I say? I'm in love with the fella! :-)

I've had a secret.... I've been working. It's a temporary job so the commitment is short term. Right now we are working on a deadline and I've been trying to get as much work done as I can for my Supervisor before we are out of time on our project. I've also been asked to make some wedding invitation A.S.A.P. On top of that Ellie is teething and not sleeping through the night. I am bushed.

This morning we have a Well Baby check and immunizations. Poor thing! I hope you all have a wonderful day. I know mine will be filled with blessings and prayers.

Thank you so much for visiting me today.

Smiles,
~Nancy

PHOTO DETAILS: I was on my way home yesterday and saw that the ice had come in again. It often comes in and out until freeze up. I used my camera phone to snap the shot so it's not the best of quality. Anyhow, I wish you could see how fast it was moving along the ocean waters and hear the trickles and bumping of the ice. It is awesome to know the handiwork of God. His creation is mighty indeed!

Yes, what beauty! Some days it is what gets me through the tough stuff, thinking about how my God must care for me when he has put so much into creating this world for us!
So encouraging!

Wow, are you ever far north! How long does it take to fly to Anchorage? We live on Mile 50 of the Alaska Hwy (NE BC) and I thought we were north! Thankfully, we don't have any snow yet but it'll be here by Halloween. We wake up to frost and fog in the mornings now. What are your thoughts on global warming, seeing as they say the northernmost areas are feeling the most effects? Deb :)

The photo is truly amazing. But what really amazes me is your absolutely wonderful joy ... the joy that you seem to have always! I'm a believer too, and I strive to have the same wonderful outlook as you. Maybe it helps too that you are so far removed from the busy-ness of city-life ??? You are an inspiration!!

Hope your weekend was great, and the baby check up went well!! How far north in Alaska are you? Here in Chicagoland it's very windy, but sunny skies and 80ยบ ... which is very unusual this time of year.

Your fellow "sister" in Christ,
Tami

I love that picture! I'm sure you are anxious for your hubby to return. Every mom flying solo (albeit temporary) with a teether deserves a little break, ya know?

Your pictures are fascinating to a Midwestern girl like me. A beautiful peak into another's life. I hope your baby's checkup went well. My baby is 17 yo, a senior in high school and looking to college (I hope not too far away). When she was teething I tried teething rings too but my doctor recommended giving her a Tylenol (for children of course). She was much more comfortable and we were both a lot happier/less crabby. You might ask your doctor what they recommend now.

To coin an american word, "what an AWESOME" shot, wow

You must feel so blessed to see such beautiful sights, poss not all the time, but for us UKers who never see snow, especially where I live in the UK, that is just soooo pretty
