FLOURISHED Wednesday

This week for Flourishes I am sharing a candy wrapper and tag along with a wonderful Christmas card. Here I wrapped a pack of gum with Basic Grey papers, tied it off with a ribbon, and completed it with a stamped tag. I used Flourishes Sweet Treats set as the inspiration.

I know this doesn't sound glamourous but it's practical... I used my paper scraps to make this card. The main red paper is textured and then dry embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. I had used a Spellbinders Nestability die to cut out the rectangle for a previous project. This scrap worked out well as a frame for my stamped image. I also used hardware from The Angel Company. With these guys I made an indentation in the middle with my Crop-a-dile and filled them with red Stickles. I love this effect! I also used the red Stickles on the holly berries. By the way this stamp is very easy to color. It's just the right amount of open areas to fill-in to make for a fast card. You can find it in Flourishes "Rejoice" stamp set.
