FRIDAY Fun

Today is going to be a busy day and I am looking forward to it. Alex (our son) is home for the next week as he prepares to move to California. His last job ended yesterday and today he slept in. Andrew is working a half day so we can go to Nalukataq. I will probably post some pictures over the weekend and explain a little more what exactly Nalukatuq is. Since I won't have pictures until I get back I thought I'd share a couple more pics of Barrow supermarket prices.

I can't believe those prices!! When I was in Port Graham the guys wanted pop really bad and we paid a ton for a 12 pk. of pop.

I have showed your grocery store pictures to my kids, and they still do not get it. I do, but I do not know how you do it.

I don't believe my eyes! I can't imagine paying that much for orange juice. WOW!

Wow, can't believe those prices, think you need to grow a hot house orange tree inside.

With the high prices on milk and fruits what native foods are available to you. Are a creative type who can make a meal out of just about anything. Good Luck

OMG! How do you survice. In Canada, at tax time, you can claim $37/day for each day you live in the Arctic area. Hope you get some relief for living there and having to pay those prices.

Sorry, that should have said 'survive'! It's 5:30 am, and I'm tired.
