Peacock Embroidery Card |
Yes indeed! I used an embroidery pattern as the main image for this card. The image was too inspiring to resist not turning it into a card. I feel so peaceful when I'm in the "coloring zone". It was a tad of a challenge to get started with so many colors to choose from. Once I got started each layer of ink blended so well. I had to stop myself from adding too much. For dimension and bling I added Stickles and Glossy Accents. It really helped to pop out the peacock's flowing tail.

To balance the bright image I also used lots of dimensional embellishments. Here I layerd fluffy flowers with ribbon swirls and pearl sprays. The ribbon boarder was also layered with three types of ribbon. Puffy paint was applied along the image boarder whereas I inked in the card boarder. I loved putting this creation together. It challenged me from the get go and now that I am done I can't wait to color up another one.
