Crafty Secrets!

The secret is out... I LOVE CRAFTY SECRETS!!!  Their booth at the SuperShow was the best.  It was decked out and full of inspiration.  I stopped by their booth at CHA and met Vicki Chrisman and did a make-and-take with her.  At the time I didn't complete the project because there was such a huge line waiting to play and truth be told I didn't want to ruin it in my suitcase.

Now that CHA is over I am unpacking and lining up all the projects I want to complete.  This is the first one I sat down and finished and I must admit that I simply adore Crafty Secrets.  Their style is so shabby chic and I can't help myself when it comes to girly vintage things.

This project is from their Vintage Postcard Kits called "Best Buds".  I chose the main image because it reminds me of my three year old daughter.  She has curlies just like my sweet little one.  Vicki was using Flower Soft on their postcards so I added some from my own stash too.  I also used the coordinating stamps with sepia ink on both the front and back of the postcard.  To give more dimension I popped in some silk and Prima flowers.  A couple of buttons here and there, Stickles, Crystal Lacquer, 3-D paint and wha-la!  Pure pink magic!

It's no wonder that I am in love with Crafty Secrets!  This project was a snap to make.  What's really cool is that their Postcard Kits come with so much:  (1) Stamp Set, (6) Large Images, (12) Image Embellishments, and (18) Ivory Chipboard Pieces.  I want to make them ALL!!!

Before I end today, I must also mention that Vicki Chrisman is such a sweet lady.  She lead the make-and-take table when I was there and she took her time to talk us.  She didn't rush us through and she even didn't mind when I took her picture.  What I really liked about meeting her was that even though she didn't know me she was simply personable and kind.  I truly enjoyed sitting at her table and creating this little postcard gem.  I would love to be among her circle of creative friends and have a fraction of her shabby chic genius.

Smiles,
~me
