Hello...

Yes, Christmas is right around the corner and do I have any cards done? Hummm... insert good excuse here! Instead of a card I have this fun little ditty I made with Clear Dollar Stamp's new "Holiday Patterns" set . It's an altered notepad. Here I can keep a Christmas shopping list and so on. What do you think? :-)

Although I haven't been sharing much of my crafty stuffs lately, I have been crafting. On that I haven't really shared what has been going on in my personal life either. So on the crafty side I've been sticking to creating my DT assignments and getting my craft show items done. It's been tough not to sway from what I need to do versus getting inky for fun... like sketch challenges and playing with other stamps in my stash. So many lovely stamps that need some ink are just a waiting for me!

So what's been going on in my personal life lately? My husband has been working very hard to get our power system going. It's a very long but rewarding task and we are moving forward on the project. We've also had a death in our family. My husband's grandfather passed away last week. His memorial was last Saturday. Compared to the funerals I've been to the memorial was easier to get through. The service was thoughtfully done and it was nice to meet so many of Andrew's dad's side of the family. I am so thankful for their kindness and I am relieved that Grandpa Grant was a saved man. I know I will see him one day in heaven. Praise the LORD!

With my side of the family my sister was diagnosed with diebetes, high blood pressure, and congestive heart failure in July. I know I've shared it before. I was able to see her in August. It was too short of a visit but it went really well and I was so thankful to spend some time with her. Well, she was in the hospital over the weekend with pneumonia and the flu. She was able to go home during the week and had a follow-up appointment today. Her heart is doing better but now her lungs are effected. Please pray for Brenda. I so want her to recover and live a full and long life.

Thanks so much!

Smiles,

Lovely notepad, the colors are beautiful and I love all the accents you always come up with. Very creative! It seems the memorial at least had a little happiness mingled in and that he was a believer. I pray God's will for your dear sister is to come out of this infection.

Your notepad is adorable, Nancy! I love how you used that set. :-) I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your DH's grandpa. Isn't it good to know that we have Heaven to look forward to! Our pastor talked on Sunday about the fact that Heaven is eternal - which in the Greek has the idea of constant. Can you imagine CONSTANT joy and peace in the presence of Jesus?? It makes me smile. :-) I'll be praying for your sister, and for you to have peace... and to get that power system running!!! I so admire you!

Having spent the last two weeks with Bronchitis, I have a new appreciation for anyone battling a respiratory problem. I'm praying that your sister is well again soon. Meanwhile, sorry to hear of your loss but glad your DH's grandpa is with the Lord--what could be better? Loved your altered notebook!
