TUESDAY...

Pins and needles today. My Mom had a joint replaced in one of her arthritic fingers today and tomorrow (May 21st) we find out if the animal shelter that my sister works at will win a million dollar makeover. OOOO.... I am relieved that my Mom is doing as well as she can right now. She's been warned that tomorrow is the day that she will start to feel the pain. I wish I were there to help my parents during her recovery. I offered to come down but they insisted that I stay put.

Back to my sister's news.... Just so I keep everything straight, I have two sisters and the sister I am talking about in this post is my middle sister. She's awesome! She spent the better part of two and half years volunteering at her local animal shelter before she was hired on as part of the staff. She has one of the biggest hearts I know. Her and her hubby have been together for over 20 years which is almost two thirds of her life. (I'm careful not to mention her age because she'd pinch me!) Anyhow, Watertown, NY’s Jefferson County SPCA is in the top three for a million dollar makeover from zootoo.com. This is such a special event and I really-really hope that my sister's shelter will win because in the end all the animals of Jefferson County will be the biggest winners.

Here's the link to the interview: CLICK HERE. It's awesome! My brother-n-law happens to be in the video. He's the handsome soldier in uniform. I'll let you know what the final outcome is as soon as I have word on the results. If you would like to tune into the announcement ceremony here's the deets:

PHOTO DETAILS:
I snagged this snapshot from my sister. This is Bubba. He craves attention and is a people lover. It took my sister less than two seconds to fall in love with him and I can see why. I just love the expression on his face. It's priceless!

Aw....I just watched the video and it was so touching to see the community come together. I could feel the love and dedication for the animals. I wish Bren would have been in the video. But, it was so cool seeing Uncle Jeff...he speaks so eloquently!
