One Week...

It's one week till Mother's Day. Do you have your Mother's Day cards done yet? Here's a couple that I made to sell around town with the graduation cards. Laurie and I spent a few hours with our local crafters Saturday selling our creations. It is with great joy that I must admit that Miss Laurie did very well with her cards. I should of made more All Occasion cards to take with us like she did. Anyhow, I now have a few dollars to go towards adding some Copics to my art supplies.

Did you have a chance to see Korin's most recent Fantastic Friday Challenge? These cards are perfect for her challenge. :-)

On a different note, I had a wonderfully blessed Sunday. We went to church as a family today. We haven't taken our daughter to church with us since last February. Instead we have taken turns staying home with her in an effort to help keep her healthy. In a small village like ours RSV season hits hard. RSV is a respiratory infection that can require hospitalization and is more likely to occur in persons that are immunocompromised or infants born prematurely. We have taken lots of precautions in trying to keep Ellie healthy and praise God that she has remained RSV free. I hope you had a blessed day too!

Laurie... I know you are very excited about getting Copic
markers.. However, have you ever tried Tombow Markers?
They are stunning and just POP of the paper.
They are Watercolor based duo tip markers.
User a blender pen to melt your colors together...
They are hard to come by but aren't as expensive as Copics.
And the learning curve is not even half as bad.

You have to use a good quality water color paper with them but they are just STUNNING!!
I almost made the leap to Copics until I tried them out at a store..
Yikes... I was not overly thrilled.

And I have to admit... I love my Tombo markers way way way more..

Here is a wholesale website which sells to the public as well.
I pay aprox. $3.75 Canadian for one in a local shop, so this website has fantastic prices..

Sorry for interfering, but I truly feel you would be able to do your magic with Tombow markers.. it is not a stamping up product so of course it won't get mentioned much on splitcoast stampers..

Anyhow...I hope you bump into them sometime.. They are deeeelightful..

Hugs,
Kalila

So glad you had a nice Sunday. Sometimes I am exhausted after church and trying to keep 4 little boys reverent during the services. I need to concentrate more on what a blessing it is that we can all be there together. Thanks for the reminder. (And lovely cards too!)
