Weekend

Hard to believe that the weekend is already coming to an end. It's been a great week of holiday fun. What a blessing to be surrounded by my family and to enjoy the sunlight and warmer weather.  I haven't taken time out yet for a portrait of my new hair-do so I thought I'd share this snapshot of me and my Sweetie. You can kinda get the idea of what it looks like. I had so much taken off and I must admit that I love my my new hair style. It' so easy to take care of and the color is softer. It was worth the money to get it done and for now I don't regret cutting it.

So?  Did you get out shopping on "Black Friday"?  I did... and guess what!  It was all crafting shopping.  I didn't break the bank either.  My Mom and my Mother-in-law went with me and we all had a great time.  We managed to get to two different Michael's stores and over to Beverly Fabrics.  I was pretty good about not going overboard also.  I can't wait to give Laurie all the goodies I snatched up for her.  So far the one item that she wanted I haven't been able to find.  I'll have to search every stamping store on the west coast until I find it.  Big SMILES!!!

Still on holiday,
Nancy

That is a great picture, and I love your hair too! I'm glad you're having such a great time out at your mom's! I've heard so much about people shopping on Black Friday...it sounds crazy! We don't have anything like that here in Canada, but lots of people head south for the big event. Enjoy the rest of your holiday!

Nancy, you are looking as cute as ever! Did you know there is a stamping store in Salinas? I haven't been to town in a few years, but it was in the strip mall by the grocery store across the freeway, on Boronda. Does that make sense? Tell your Mom and the gang Hi, for me. Love, Robin

What a nice photo! Its definately one that I'd be framing nd putting on the wall if I were you.

I understand what you mean about shopping for crafty stuff. When I went to the US to see my parents a couple years ago, I had actually mapped out all the stamping shops near them, before I went! I ALMOST had my mom enrolled in a card making class (I was jonesing!), but the lady said the class was full. Oh well. And stamping supplies are so much cheaper there. I had a hard time being good.

you n' your hubs are a gorgeous couple, dear!!!

as for black Friday... I did all my shopping ONLINE. Parking, and crowds - I don't do. =0)

Your new haircut is absolutely lovely!!! :)

I didn't really brave the crowds on Black Friday this year... I went to Old Navy, but that's about it... I guess toting around a 2 1/2 year old can do that. LOL
