My FLOURISHED Wednesday
I finally did it... I made a card with Flourishes "Peace" set. Wouldn't it be nice if there were peace on Earth? So many things would be different. Anyhow, this card has lots of shimmer but it looses it in photo-translation. I used daubers to apply the two different colors of Versa Magic Chalk inks and then went over them with Shimmer Chalks. Lastly I embossed the white snowflakes on the very top. What you really don't see well is the Pearl Ex that I sprayed on. I used a mix of hair spray and gold and blue Pearl Ex for the background. Laurie, Stamping for God's Glory, say that this card has been "Nancy-ized". Meaning that it's my signature style.
The second card that I am posting today was done with Flourishes "O Christmas Tree". I know it's not a traditional Christmas card but I love it! I used part of a sketch from the September '07 Page Maps set as the inspiration for this layout. The colors were chosen to match the strip of Basic Grey designer paper that was positioned across the middle. It makes me happy to think that the holidays are soon to come. I can't wait to be in the company of my family. What a blessing to know we will be together again so soon.
