I have been stamping lately... just nothing ready to post yet. I am putting the final touches on the plastic candy holder that Kim sent me for her "Alter This Challenge". Whew... I've started and re-started this one twice. So in honor of the late night hour I thought I'd show you what our midnight sun looks like. I took this picture at 1:51 am on July 4th. The weather was so beautiful all day long. Unlike today. We started out with sunshine and now its foggy and cloudy. That's typical for arctic weather. You never know how it will be... one second it's nice and the next it's snowing.

What a beautiful picture! When I was visiting Alaska you should have seen our group one night...someone yelled for us to all get out of bed and 'check out the sun'! It was an amazing sight and we were probably quite a sight ! My two fav. pics that I got were at midnight- one pic. is from the runway in Port Graham and the other is the midnight sun with Homer's Spit in the background. Wow...
Beautiful photo, Nancy!! Funny I am in Alberta, but our weather is much the same. We have a saying..."If you don't like the weather wait a minute." ;0)
My husband and I visited the North
a few years ago and as first time visitors, we learned first hand why all the hotels had blackout curtains on them. We were still sitting up at 1:30 until we realised that it was definitely past our bedtime. What an experience that was and so strange for us. It is a unique sight though and so beautiful.
Wow! Simply gorgeous :~)
What a beautiful skyline.
