Watercolor CHALKS

So not too long ago I got rid of my water color crayons because my coloring technique of choice is Prisma colored pencils with Gamsol. Well today was the first day that I wanted to use them. So what did I do? I took my chalks and used my watercolor brush and colored to my hearts content. Here's the card I made with this technique. The scanner sure did fade it out. In any case this card looks great in person. The next one I do I'm planning on combining it with the cracked glass technique.

**UPDATE: Maria suggested to use fixative to seal in the colors after the chalks has dried. Thanks Maria for the tip!

CARD DETAILS:
SU! Wonderful Woodcut
Palette Ink
Pebbles Inc. I Kand' Dee Chalks Earth Tones
Basic Grey Scrapbook Paper
SU! Cardstock
Ribbon & Brads
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder

This is really lovely and what a great idea. I never would've thought of watercoloring with chalks--brilliant!

I've used chalk with a watercolor brush too and it worked just fine. . .just like watercolors! I usually spray it with a fixative afterwards so it don't rub off. I love your distressing on your cards! They are all beautiful!
