IN Town

So here's some snap shots of things I saw in town. Keep in mind that Barrow is an arctic village. We don't have the prettiness of paved roads and country trees. It's surroundings are different here than those villages below the arctic circle. It has it's own beauty and a uniqueness that I love.

The town looks lovely, who needs paved roads, but I will tell you one thing, I will never complain about the price of milk again.

Hey Girl, love these pics, even the one's in posting after this one. It looks very different from what I'm used to seeing - seems almost unrealistic to me. But yet - it's gorgeous!!! Thanks for sharing!

Now why the heck would milk be sooo expensive there - when the cool air can keep it fresh longer than anywhere else? I'm guessing because there aren't much cows there?

hugs n' aloha,
Jen

Good grief - & I thought our milk was expensive at a little over $3. Certainly will think of you next time I go to the store.

There is a new show on the History Channel called Ice Road Truckers. I thought of you as I watched it. I'm guessing that the price of milk and other things are so expensive because it's difficult to get them to you?
