HEY There!

I'm still around... unexpectedly without access to our computer and internet. I anticipate that this will continue to be the case for the rest of the week. Please check back and know that I still have plenty to share and that I'll be thinking of you all as I am without.

I finally finished Allison Fillo's sketch challenge from Sisterhood of Scrap. It's an awesome and original sketch. I like to be exact with the challenged layout but sometimes I just can't make it flow right after I've started putting the card together. So here's what I came up with. It's really vibrant in person. Just looking at bright colors makes me feel happy and cheery. The red Stickle dots were placed with the help of Chatter Box's Doodle Genie. I borrowed it from Laurie while she's been out on vacation. Lucky ME! The big swirls were stamped with The Essential Glue Pad from Tsukineko and then brushed over with Pearl Ex. I also distressed the paper with Making Memories Scrapbook Colors paint. It dried faster than the Stickles did. I guess that's what happens when you live in an extremely dry climate. I don't know why I choose scrap paper that has so much going on it with to do sketch challenges. I must secretly like the challenge.

Thank you Allison for your sketch and congratulations for being a guest on Sisterhood of Scrap. :-)
