Fun Stuff...

Today is the last day of previews for Clear Dollar Stamps. It's been wonderful to share what I've been up to during the month over the last couple of days. I'll be spending the next ten days make up my samples for next month's previews. Can't wait to get started on my assignments. So... what do I have for you today? A card and an altered promotional magnet.

When I first laid my eyes on the "Happy Rainbow" and "God Always Keeps His Promises" stamps I immediately knew what I was going to make with them. On one of my trips to my Mom's over the summer she had me clean out her fridge from the inside to the out and on the outside she had a ton of magnets. Two of which were clippy magnets from some miscellaneous medicine company. Those were the first to come down and instead of throwing them away I knew I could do something crafty with them and asked if I could have them. They've been in my stamping stash every since. I used one for this project and the other one I am saving for later. The recycled magnet came along relatively quickly once I figured out what papers I was going to use. From there I took the labels off and gave it a good washing. While it was drying I cut out some clouds and colored "Happy Rainbow". A ribbon here, some buttons there, and don't forget the pop dots and wha-la... the magnet was good as new. Actually it was better than new... it had been recycled. :-)

I am sorry to say that I don't have an exciting story to go along with my card but I will say that it is special. I used the upcoming December Stamp of the Month, Critter Log, to make it and during December it will be included for free with any $30 purchase instead of the usual $50 or more. How fun is that?!

We'll I better scadoodle for now. My mother-in-law is coming in from South Carolina this week and I need get unpacked from our Thanksgiving travels and clean house. I hope you have a splendid day and don't forget to checkout these links for more Clear Dollar Stamps sneak peeks:

It's a SET!

It's the day before the last day of sneak previews for Clear Dollar Stamps. I've had so much fun already putting together these samples and now I finally get to share them all! The December releases are all single stamps except for the Stamp of the Month set and we were challenged to make our projects not all cards. I think I ended up with just about half and half with my stuff.

Any how, instead of making a single card I decided to make a card set with a whole bunch of the single stamps. I did my theme half boyish and the other half girlie. The design was pretty simple with the main focus on the bright coloring. (Just gotta love them COPIC MARKERS!) I also added texture to the main swatch of background paper by dry embossing them with Cuttlebug folders. They were a snap to put together and now I have four more cards in my stash to mail or a set to give to someone as a Christmas gift. Hummmm... now that's a great idea!

One for Today...

I only have one Clear Dollar Stamps December new release sample to share today and it's not a card. :-) This time around I made a magnetic tic-tac-toe set. It's conveniently made with a thin 5x7 tin and the magnetic laminating Zyron machine. Once I had my design down, I think it took longer to color all the pieces than to put the rest of the game together. So what do you think?

New STAMPS for December...

It's such a special time to share the new designs that are coming up for the next month over at Clear Dollar Stamps. December is right around the corner and today is the first day of sneak peeks. What did I make this time around? Check it out!

Teeny T-Rex/Something to Roar About:
This little dino card is the first of four in a fun set of cards. Each one has the same design but with different debuting stamps. The rest of the cards in the set will be shared within the next couple of days. Regardless, I just love-love this little guy. I can see myself coloring him many different ways. He's just so cute!

Mr. Spike/You Make Me Smile:
It might be hard to tell what I made with "Mr. Spike" and the "You Make Me Smile" sentiment so I'm just gonna tell ya. It's a coaster picture frame. This is a type of project that can be made pretty quickly and the results are just plain fun. Pick your papers, find your matching inks and there you have it! :-)

It's new to the web and will be expanding their library regularly.

The Day Before...

Yeppers, it's the day before Thanksgiving. What are you doing tonight? Me? I am enjoying some quiet time before I head off to bed. :-) Guess what I got to do today? I put pictures into two scrapbooks for one of my mom's friends. What was really cool was that the scrapbooks were ones that I made and that she purchased! I can't wait for her to see the final product. It's always a joy to see how happy something I've made can make another person. What a blessing to be a part of that.

Anyhow, here's a card I made with Clear Dollar Stamps' new release set in honor of their FIVE YEAR celebration. It's called "Birthday Celebrations". Oh so yummy!!!

Well, that's it for now. I hope you have a very blessed Thanksgiving.

Hello...

Yes, Christmas is right around the corner and do I have any cards done? Hummm... insert good excuse here! Instead of a card I have this fun little ditty I made with Clear Dollar Stamp's new "Holiday Patterns" set . It's an altered notepad. Here I can keep a Christmas shopping list and so on. What do you think? :-)

Although I haven't been sharing much of my crafty stuffs lately, I have been crafting. On that I haven't really shared what has been going on in my personal life either. So on the crafty side I've been sticking to creating my DT assignments and getting my craft show items done. It's been tough not to sway from what I need to do versus getting inky for fun... like sketch challenges and playing with other stamps in my stash. So many lovely stamps that need some ink are just a waiting for me!

So what's been going on in my personal life lately? My husband has been working very hard to get our power system going. It's a very long but rewarding task and we are moving forward on the project. We've also had a death in our family. My husband's grandfather passed away last week. His memorial was last Saturday. Compared to the funerals I've been to the memorial was easier to get through. The service was thoughtfully done and it was nice to meet so many of Andrew's dad's side of the family. I am so thankful for their kindness and I am relieved that Grandpa Grant was a saved man. I know I will see him one day in heaven. Praise the LORD!

With my side of the family my sister was diagnosed with diebetes, high blood pressure, and congestive heart failure in July. I know I've shared it before. I was able to see her in August. It was too short of a visit but it went really well and I was so thankful to spend some time with her. Well, she was in the hospital over the weekend with pneumonia and the flu. She was able to go home during the week and had a follow-up appointment today. Her heart is doing better but now her lungs are effected. Please pray for Brenda. I so want her to recover and live a full and long life.

Thanks so much!

Smiles,

Neglected?

I know my blog has been neglected lately. It may be neglected but definitely not forgotten. We are in the midst of a major project here at the cabin and it's very consuming. Besides that there's always the stuff that comes up. During that time I am thankful to have a God to share my burdens with and friends and family that pray for us.

On the lighter side, here's a sample of one of the items I will be selling at the craft show later this month. It's a gift card holder. I found the tutorial over on Julie Bluher's blog, Paper Pleaseing Ideas. Here's the link: Gift Card Holder Folder.

I hope you are delighting in a wonderful day and thank you so much for checking in on me!
