More CDStamps...

It's the final hours for Clear Dollar Stamps stock-up special. See my last post for the discount code.

Today I am sharing two more creations using a soon to come new release set from CDStamps. It's a collection of sentiments that can coordinate with single stamps and more. It's called "Thoughtful Notes". To make my samples I am pairing up two of the cute sentiments with the single stamps "Little Lamb" and "Melon".

Now a days I can go shopping at the Dollar stores and Michael's anytime that they are open. So far I have been very good about not loading up my cart with too much. When I came across this little black and turquoise gem I knew for sure that it was perfect for altering. Who would of thought that colors would go so well with my stash of Basic Grey papers?! With a little help with my Nesties I punched out a scalloped rectangle and labels one tag to place into the cover of a fun mini manicure set.

The second project was a card with the labels one dies too. To make the Little Lamb look more dimensional I used Crystal Lacquer on the top of her head and on her cheeks. I also colored in some shadows and blush. Basic Grey's Eva papers were perfect for this card.

On the homefront, we are still making the transition to our new home in the mountains. Since we left Barrow we have been staying with family. Now that we are in the same area of our cabin we are so much closer to being home. Getting things move in ready has kept us so busy and I am astounded how fast the sun goes down before our days are done each day. Anyhow, I will keep posting as I can and maybe someday I'll be posting from the comforts of our own living room. The process can be weary but thankfully the Lord continues to provide.

I hope you are having a wonderfully blessed day and I can't wait to share more of my CDStamps new release samples.

Smiles,

Clear Dollar Stamps!

Thing sure have come to a standstill here on my blog since we left Barrow and I have come to realize that I prefer to stamp in my own space instead of stamping while traveling. There is something very comforting for me to be sitting in my own chair at my own table with all my supplies in my own space. Silly haw?

About the only stamping I've done recently are my Clear Dollar Stamp Design Team contributions. Although I wasn't in my own space I did find great pleasure to finally get inky and stamp. Today's post will include the first of my January 09 CDStamp sneak peaks. This set totally reminds me of home in Barrow. It's called "Winter Eskimo". Not only does it have a boy eskimo and a girlie eskimo it also includes some fun sentiments and arctic critters. To coordinate with "Winter Eskimo" is also a wheel stamp called "Snowshoes". Here's my card using both "Snowshoes" & "Winter Eskimo".

Did you know that the CDStamps store now carries Nestabilities dies, Basic Grey 6x6 packs & accessories, and Copic markers & products? I've used several of these newer items from the CDStamps store on my card. Speaking of the CDStamps store... Lori is having an inventory reduction sale until the end of this month. This is an awesome opportunity to stock-up on all your CDStamp favs!

Here are the details: Enter coupon code IRS2008 at checkout to receive your discount.
Discount will be applied to each line item, not as a total at the bottom of the order.

I will be posting more of my recent CDStamp creations over the next few days. Wanna see more CDStamp sneak peaks? Click here for the DT blog list: CDStamps Blogroll

I hope that you are enjoying your stamping space and having a very blessed day!

Smiles,

Merry Christmas Blessings

Merry Christmas to you and your family. I had the great joy of cooking with my Mom for our family celebration today. We made a delicious brunch for four generations of us. On the menu was Swedish Pancakes, bacon & sausage (both turkey & pork), fresh fruit salad, homemade whipped cream & jams, and tamales. YUMMY! What a great blessing to be surrounded in the warmth of fellowship and to have a full tummy to celebrate to birth of our Saviour. I pray that you are having a wonderful day full of fabulous memories and the joy of Jesus' birth.

We will be making our final leg of our move to Oregon later this week. It has been a very long month of moving and traveling. I can't wait to go forward and get settled into our new adventure of homesteading. I know it's not the arctic but I am sure I'll have many a story to share in the upcoming years. Our friends back home have graciously nicknamed our new life as "Granola". It makes me chuckle to be labeled as "Granola" because I am a bit fruity and a big nut! We are definitely going from one extreme to the next... God has blessed us indeed!

Merry Christmas my creative, blogging, stamping, friends! May you always know God's blessings and if you don't know Christ as your personal Saviour I encourage you to come to know the true meaning of Christmas.

I copied and pasted this from Corin's blog Inky Doodle because I think she summed it best:

Jesus is the reason for the season!
Praise God for his unspeakable gift (2 Corinthians 9:15)…the gift of his son, Jesus, who came to save his people from their sins (Matthew 1:21). I pray that you have accepted this precious gift, the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23)

Hugs,

Yea!!!

I am so happy to report that I'll be up and stamping again! YEA!!! Although I still haven't made it to our final destination I now have my basic stamping stash to play with! The long awaited postal delivery finally arrived!!! If you can't tell I am so thrilled to have enough of my supplies from Alaska to start stamping again. I was just at that point where I was desperate to be creating again. Since I have a fixed budget that I need to consider I really didn't have the luxury of going out and getting fill-in replacements. What makes it really cool is that God knew that I needed some cheer and this totally made my day.

Thank you God for making me wait for my goodies... I sure do appreciate what I have.

P.S.
I will be working on my DT assignments first and when I can get some other stamping done I'll be sure to share.
:-)

By the way, I forgot to mention that my husband secured the box up with flat rope before we mailed it. Without the rope it probably wouldn't of made it. If you are mailing heavy boxes this season you might want to consider securing your parcels with flat rope too. ;-)

Project: PARKA

Days before I left Barrow my Mom & I decided to take on a sewing project together. In my lifetime we have sewn together several times. Each time I learn something new and I am reminded how much I value her. It's so nice to collaborate on creative projects. She is definitely the stronger seamstress that keeps me on task. :-)

So... what's our project? It's a commissioned parka for my best friend Laurie. For now me and Mom are about half way through and we will be getting the tough stuff done by tomorrow. I'll have all the hand sewing to do on the weekend. Hand stitching is not my favorite thing to do but the results are well worth it. Hopefully I'll have more pics to post after the weekend.

For now, here's a peek at the ribbon trim that will adorn the ruffle skirt. It might not look like much now but it's gonna really make her parka pop. It's so gorgeous. These photos don't do it justice. Again I hope to share the final outcome later next week.

Just to recap, I am still in the midst of our big move and I haven't had any access to my stamping stuffs. It's a drag not stamping and I've found myself going through withdrawals. What's made it worse is that I haven't had much time to blurf (blog surf) either. I miss you all!!!

Thanks BARB!

It's so nice to know that stalking pays off! ;-) For being a blog stalker I've been nominated with the "Encouraged" award from Barb of FosterDesignHouse. Oh thank you- thank you Barb!!! It's a pure pleasure to visit Barb's blog. She's always posting incredible creations, projects, and fun. Thanks for being my friend and including me in your circle of encouragers.

Encouraged Award Rules:
1. The winner may put the logo on their blog.
2. Put a link to the person who sent you the award.
3. Nominate 5 blogs and link to them.

Being an encourager is one of the gifts/talents direct from God and I found that most stampers not only have the talent to make really awesome things out of paper but they also have a knack at being fabulous encouragers. I know I have certainly received so much encouragement from you all just by stopping by and leaving a comment or sending me an email letting me know that I've been in your prayers. I am so grateful for all the encouragement that I have received and that's why I am breaking the rules and nominating every single blogger/blurfer that has taken the time to leave me some encouragement.

THANKS EVERYONE!

Here are my five links in random order:
