Hello Everyone!

Hey there everyone! I am still alive. We are traveling until we get settled into our new home next month. I am pleased to report that our flights to California were timely and without too much discomfort. Ellie is still a lap baby and she did very well sprawling out over our laps. On the longest flight she took a nice nap which allowed me and my husband to watch a movie.

On a stamping note, blogging and creating has been at a standstill. Although I have been out if it lately things are hopping with Clear Dollar Stamps. All week there has been sneak previews of their new releases for next month. Not only that Lori McCroskey, Clearly iStamp, is hosting a huge blog candy drawing. Go check it out!!! Clearly iStamp

Here are my peeks for next month's CDStamp's release of Snow Diamonds & Snow Tags. It was my last project that I made in Barrow. I will always cherish my time time in our arctic home. :-) For our DT assignments I created this cute stationary set inspired by a tutorial that Corie, Creations by Corie, shared with me. Here's a link for a similar tutorial that Jackie Topa has posted on her blog. CLICK HERE All the stamps used on the box, cards, and tags are new designs debuting next month with CDStamps. Each slot holds a set of three matching items. The first slot has the tags, the second a 3x3 card and the main slot houses a set of standard A-1 sized cards. I left a pocket on the flap to hold postage stamps and an optional gift card. To top the set off I stamped a scrap piece of the card stock and inserted into a clear pen.

By the way... Clear Dollar Stamps is having an awesome sale this weekend. If you signed up for their newsletter you should of been notified about the sale. If you haven't already signed up here's the SECRET CODE to get 20% off of all your clear stamp purchases November 28th to November 30th!

Congrats to...

Random.org selected number 10. The tenth follower as of today is Lasona of "Down the Old Dirtroad". Lasona please email me your addy so I can get a prize out to you before the weekend.

On a different blogging note, my friend Rina of "Heartful Stamping" nominated me for a blogging award last week. It's the Kreativ Blogger Award. Thank you so much Rina for including me in her circle of Kreativ friends that love the Lord. :-) By the way, Rina is hosting a blog candy giveaway too. Here's her link: Rina's Blog Candy .

Two more post office days to get our belongings sent out. I can't believe that we have less than a week until we move from our arctic home. Uhg... I feel myself tearing up but at the same time I am confident that this is the Lord's leading and all will be well.

:-)

Goodies for my Followers...

It's a crazy thought to have "Followers"! In celebration of my groupies I am going to do a drawing for a blog blessing surprises in a week (November 19th). So if you were thinking about following my blog but haven't signed up just yet now's the time.

"Following" a blog is a new feature on Google. It's really cool! You can see in my sidebar all my "Followers". I love how it includes each blogger's profile photo. It's so nice to put a face to blog. :-)

By the way, thank you all for taking the time to leave me comments and for keeping us in your prayers.

Smiles,

Here's a snapshot of my old spot at work. I sure did love having a 24" iMac at my desk! By the way... THIS IS NOT A PICTURE OF THE BLOG BLESSING SURPRISES. You'll have to wait until the drawing to find out what it is. ;-)

Digi Fun!

Packing and packing and more packing! Uhg... no better time than to get creative and make something. Thanks to digitalscrapbookplace.com for sharing their freebies so that I have something to design with during our time of transition.

Here's a quick page I made with a smattering of their free digi elements. The main part of the page was template where you just add your photos and text but for me it needed just a tad more embellishments. :-)

Enjoy and checkout digitalscrapbookplace.com!

Ellie found my heels when I was packing yesterday and couldn't help but to put them and strut down the hall. Not only that, she also found my favorite hat. I couldn't help getting some photos of her!

A Reminder from My Sister...

Hey, are you looking for a new member of your family as in the four legged fuzzy kind. Don't forget about your local shelter. Lots of critters there need a forever home.

PHOTO DETAILS:
My sister, Brenda, has dedicated her life to rescuing animals. These are a couple of snapshots she took recently and shared with me.

Polar Bears... OH MY!

My husband announced this afternoon that there was a polar bear spotted roaming on the beach and then invited me to do a drive by on the way to my appointment. Usually we don't do mess with the bears but we were already heading out. By the time we got there we only caught a glimpse of someone on the ice... NO BEAR. Oh well... maybe next time. At least Andrew had a chance to see one in the wild before we fly out. After we drove by the beach I dropped him and Ellie off at his office so that I could make my dental appointment. On the way home from the dentist I snapped some more keepsake photos.

Today was really cold and windy. Can you see the snow blowing across the road? When I first came to Barrow I used to think that it looked erie. Now I think it's magical. This is the only place I've lived where it snowed more than a day in my adult life. I won't miss the shoveling but I sure will miss the glitter and crisp cleanness... not to mention the smell.

So SAD...

Yesterday was my last day at work on the Slope and now I am officially in packing mode. We've made a dent in getting our stuff sorted and sent. It's a crazy thought that anything that I want to take with me has to be flown out no matter what. If we had planned to move sooner we could of sent a connex on the barge this past summer and then flew out. Anyhow, I will try to get some stamping stuff posted as I have access to a computer and time to stamp.

Thank you all for your warm wishes and continued support. I really appreciate it.

Weekend Sketch #64

Even if I am busy I usually have time to at least take a peak at Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenges. Sometime I can stamp them out and other times I have to put them on hold. This week along the sketch challenge Beate also had a request.

Here's her request:
Laurie Schmidlin’s twelve year old daughter Ali is very sick. Could you please send her a get well card or a thinking of you card to Laurie? Laurie is such a wonderful person, my heart just goes out to her. If you don’t have Laurie’s address, please email me (Beate Johns) and I (she) will send it to you.

So if you would like to be a blessing to Laurie Schmidlin please contact Beate for her address. I will be sending a card along with my prayers.

Here's my card for Beate's Weekend Sketch #64. All the stamps used were from Clear Dollar Stamps of course. :-) If you notice the black highlighting around the scallops it's a technique I gleaned from Mel Stamps. She has an awesome blog and her creations are amazing!

Anyhow, I hope you had a blessed Monday.

Smiles,
