UNITY In the HOUSE!

I was cruising through Split Coast Stampers two weeks ago when I came across the new release party chat for the Unity Stamp Company. I've never really sat in on a new release party before so I chatted here and there and had some fun. Every since then I've been checking in when I have a chance. The Unity ladies are totally fun and creative. Not only that the personalized service that I've received from Angela, part owner, has been phenomenal. I couldn't resist placing a small order. It was so hard not get more than I can afford.

What did I make first? I altered a tin message board using a new release singles stamp called "Everlasting Romance". You can see it stamped in the corner. It's a gorgeous design! The magnets were covered with matching papers and stamped with the circles from "Flirty Flowers". Not bad for my first go around haw?

From there I changed it up and made two cards. The first is a dimensional card made kinda following AJ's Thursday Project for Unity. You can see the full tutorial HERE. I also made this one with Allison's Suggestive Sunday #19 Challenge in mind. The outcome is just gorgeous and it was worth all the time and attention that it took to get this one created. I know it's hard to see so I am just going to tell ya... I used "Everlasting Romance" to make an acetate overlay and then added Crystal Lacquer to give it dimension. I also created a stamped boarder under the "you are my sunshine" sentiment with the dotty circle from "Flirty Flowers".

My other card was made with "Circle Frenzy" background stamp and "Gratitude = Joy" kit. What drew me to "Gratitide = Joy" was the sleek style of the bamboo shoots. I don't know why but it has such a calming feel. The outcome with this creation was very simple. I know I could play it up but the more I added the more I was convinced that I should just let it be. Circle Frenzy was stamped with gold pigment ink and then highlighted with copper Perfect Pearls powder. It sets it off the entire card and looks amazing on the turquoise designer paper. I am convinced that this color combo is gonna be the colors of our living room/dining room. It's amazing!

All in all I have really enjoyed my small but versatile Unity Stamp Company collection. Thanks for letting me go on and on. By the way... Angela has bundled some random kits (stamp sets) together and coupled it with free shipping for a limited time. This "Random Sale" ends tonight.
