One of my blogging friends, Marja, suggested that I checkout Beth Norman's blog Sunflowers and Dragonflies. Beth had posted a tutorial on watercoloring with Tombow markers. Now I've tried watercoloring with my Tombows before but what I didn't try was coloring on high quality watercolor paper. It makes all the difference! WOW!!! Was that ever fun! After I let my butterfly images dry I went back and used my Spicas and my Copic pen (not the same as a Copic marker) to highlight and define. I'm so stoked because The Angel Company currently carries three sets of Tombow markers. So... until I decide whether or not to get Copic markers I am going to make do with Tombows. YEAH!!!

Very nice! What a beautiful coloring job on the butterfly.
Wowza, your watercolouring is amazing. So, so gorgeous. One of the reasons I won't buy copics is because I love the results with the tombow marker. Plus, I use watercolour pencil crayons as well.
