First TRY
Here's my first try to complete a card challenge. You can find the challenge on Beate's blog. She's celebrating 200,000 hits with blog candy. In order to enter you need to complete the card challenge.
It was very easy for me to pick the papers but difficult to select the stamps to use. I finally settled on a retiring set from The Angel Company called Playful Pets. I'll have to go back and redo my layout because I didn't get it totally right on. Bummer! That's what happens when you don't go back and check the design. I should of took the time to go back but the baby was calling to get up from her afternoon nap and I was in a hurry to get it done.
Two noteworthy techniques used in this challenge was the brads and the lilly pad. The brads were re-colored with embossing powder, whereas the lilly pad was a stamp that I made with leftover rubber and creative cling. Both are very easy techniques. So don't throw away the bigger pieces of rubber every time...cut out a funky shape and wah-la you have yourself a new stamp to play with and the very gratifying feeling of being clever. "WINK-WINK"
